Hey, thanks for coming by!
Okay, why this website?
What is this site all about?
I guess I see my life as an offering to God. The things I do, the words I say, the songs I sing, the people I love–it’s all an offering to God. So, I’ve decided to present that offering here as much as I can. Not because I want you to think highly of me or something, because I am nothing more than anyone else, and we are only what God has made in his image for his glory. I’m presenting my offering here so God can use it more.
Until this website my songs have just been sitting in binders, collecting dust, only to be heard by me and a few others. But what about my grandchildren? About my great-grandchildren? Will they be able to hear my songs and my heart? What about people who don’t know Jesus? Could my songs help them learn about him and his great love for them?
This website is a chance for me to pass along a collection of songs that I have written. I am giving present and future generations insight into my heart and mind and soul. They will be able to hear my voice singing songs of faith and love. They will be able to read encouraging words I have written that point them to the good news of Jesus. They will be able to learn to play and sing these songs if they desire by using the lead sheets provided.
Let this be written for a future generation,
that a people not yet created may praise the Lord.
The way I see it is…these songs are God’s songs anyway, not mine. They were a gift from him and now my offering back to him. It doesn’t matter to me what anyone thinks about them because these songs have always been for him. So keep that in mind as you browse around. I’m sure the lyrics don’t always rhyme perfectly. I know the recordings are far from perfect since most of the time I just lay my iPhone down and push record. My voice is flat or sharp…and I’m sure mysteriously both at times. My guitar is probably not in tune on some songs, and I’m sure the piano sounds poorly. Nevertheless, I believe God can help people find good in all things regardless of quality. Try to see past my human limitations and look for something encouraging.
Hey, God loves you. Trust him.
Put your faith in his son Jesus, who is the light of the world. He will give you true life.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already, because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: light has come into the world but people loved darkness instead of light, because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light and won’t come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.” John 3:16-21.
